Fairfield Connecticut?

Fairfield CT is a town that has been around since the early colonization of the Americas. The whole town was burned to the ground during the revolution, and was even mentioned by General Washington when he spoke of the destruction that occured in the colonies. It is a suburban community of about 40,000 people in the SW portion of CT. Located about an hour outside of downtown Manhatten, it is a quiet and affluent community; in July 2006, Money Magazine ranked Fairfield the ninth "best place to live" in the United States, and the best place to live in the Northeast. The town was also listed among the "preppiest" places in the United States in the tongue-in-cheek 1980s best-seller The Official Preppy Handbook. It is also the headquarters of GE. Of particular note it is located in prime New England lacrosse territory.
So you may be wondering why there is such a description of some foreign township on a blog produced by two hicks from the Cache Valley territory? After nearly 27 years (seven of which have been spent obtaining an undergraduate (most people do it in 3-4)) Chelsea's somewhat inept and overly in-decisive husband, has finally made some serious strides in finally growing up, and we've been accepted into the Sacred Heart University Doctor of Physical Therapy program. So this upcoming summer we will be moving out to New England for the next three years! Chelsea is very excited to be moving out next to the big city, Brett on the other hand is excited about going to school (not so much the big city). It has been a very long and trying process fraught with many obstacles; however, for reasons unseen to us the Good Lord has opened doors for us that we did not see, and we accept with the utmost confidence that this is where we are to go. We are so grateful for all the help/encouragement/faith of our many friends and members of our family. Pending on Chelsea getting a job we will be moving anywhere between May and August when classes start. Wish us luck, we'll definitely need it (especially Brett).

Brett,
Congrats man!!! That's awesome! Contrary to what a lot of people think, Chiros and PTs have A LOT in common! We will have to keep in touch and compare what we are both learning! Congrats again!

your beard buddy,
Chase

Congrats. Take your shotgun and a bow. Deer hunting out there is insane. I remember talking to members and they were telling me since there aren't many hicks out there a deer tag is good for like 6 deer taken with a combination of shotgun, bow, and muzzleloader. Don't let an education keep you from your true calling in life.

Good to hear some positive words and posts emerging from your blog. During your stressful fall, and the 'cheery' tone from some posts from the period, I almost sent some diapers down to you. :)

But in all seriousness, congrats and well done; you'll love New England and it will be a great period in your lives. Enjoy it!
