This summer has been busy but I didn't think there has been too much to blog about but I have found that I have much to catch up on! So bear with yet another long blog post.
After my brother Dillon came home had a lull in the action and not too much was going on. However the last two weeks there has been one thing after the other.
To start things off my best friend got married. She looked so beautiful and it was such as wonderful day. I just love weddings and this one was very fun to be a part of. Here is a smashing picture of the beautiful bride (Heidi) and her dashing groom (Scott).
We then celebrated the 4th of July is smashing fashion. It started off with us attending "Freedom Fire" at Romney Stadium. The coolest thing happened while we were there: we were going to buy general admission tickets and sit with my mom and grandpa but when we were buying tickets to get in, this nice man came and asked if we needed two tickets for FREE! We said of course and they turned out to be awesome seats! They were right next to the stage where Diamond Rio performed and then the fireworks were right over us. It was such an awesome night!
To expose myself a little, I will admit that I shed a tear during the fireworks. I love the fireworks and I got a little sad thinking that we won't be here for the firework and the 4th and all of the fun summer activities that go on during the 4th. And even if we are back in the valley, we will probably have kids and it just won't be the same. Enough of the sad stuff....
Sunday after church we headed to Bear Lake to hang out with the Petersen Family. We went for a little drive up the canyon and then headed over. You know me - a post would not be complete without lots of pictures.

There was tons of snow up there still!
Cool shot of the sun and a river

The always lovely Miss Brooklyn
Garret and Gracie together can be trouble!
Brett was trying to flash the sun in my eyes using the back of a cell phone - i snapped a picture of it and this is how it turned out... Kinda cool.
Sue looking fabulous enjoying some sun
Our newest edition to the Petersen/Maynard Family - sweet Miss Ella Sue.
Then we left for a trip to ALASKA! We had such a blast up there. The men folk were able to go on a backpacking trip up to the Kluane National Forest just outside of Haines, AK in British Columbia. Brett was unable to go with them because he had to stay back to study for his blasted Calculus class (BTW he could really use your prayers). But we had a great time with Megan and the boys. Here are just a few (hahaha) pictures of our vacation.

I took a over 2000 pictures while we were up there and many were actually pretty good but for sake of spearing all of my thousand's of readers (ya right) I decided that i will only post a few of the highlights but there are lots more (especially of my darling nephews) if you click on the side link titled "Brett and Chelsea's Pictures" for those of you who are interested.
